    Mark,
I stumbled across your site because of your “Windows Vista RC1 on Dell 9150” blog entry. I have a 9150 that I’m currently thinking of introducing to Vista (partly ‘cos of some WinXP installation issues I’m hitting right now).
Then I noticed that you work with Flex: one of my team recently completed a small in-house Flex project for us (I work in IT at American Airlines in Texas, USA).
Then I noticed that you live in Sydney – my wife & I visited Sydney while touring eastern Australia a few years ago – we loved it!
Then I noticed that you visited England in June & July. I’m from England (left there in 1990) and I was there too, with my wife and kids, visiting most of my family, in June & July (we visit most summers).
Then I noticed that you visited Tavistock – I’m FROM Tavistock! That’s where we were staying, with my parents, in June & July (it’s just inside Devon BTW, not Cornwall, but you’re forgiven ;)).
Then I noticed that you visited Tintagel, Port Isaac and Lands End while you were there – we visited all of those places too this summer.
Oh, and also: I used to go to rock festivals in Glastonbury (sadly over 20 years ago), I lived in London for 8 years, we used to visit Brighton regularly during the London summers, I always take visitors to Stratford, I used to work extensively in Paris, we lived in Nice for 15 months (and we’d visit Monaco every month), and, after Paris, San Francisco is one of my favorite cities and Monument Valley one of my favorite non-cities. Finally, aside from Paris, Lucerne, Innsbruck and Amsterdam are 3 of my favorite European cities.
    Wow, small world.
But why Rapid City, South Dakota?? 😉

    Why South Dakota?
Well it was my wife Ruth’s choice, she wanted to get out of the US cities and see some of the US Midlands, visit “Wounded Knee” which has quite a bit of Native American history and I wanted to see Mt Rushmore and the Crazy Horse monument. While there we also discovered Deadwood (before the TV show) and Devils Tower (thats in Close Encounters of the Third Kind). Its a great place to visit and we’ve been back again since!
